Dear Builder,
I used to chase visibility, clients, and income, convinced that what I wanted was what my business needed.
But walking with God as a Kingdom builder exposed a truth I couldn’t ignore:
What I wanted… wasn’t always what Heaven assigned.
Because here’s the hard reality:
Desire without discipline leads to distortion.
“The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can understand it?” — Jeremiah 17:9
If your appetite hasn’t been surrendered to God, your “vision” might just be a reflection of your unhealed longings, not divine strategy.
Appetite vs. Assignment
Early on, I had to make a shift.
Instead of asking:
“What do I want this business to become?”
I started asking:
“What does this business need to truly serve?”
I stopped romanticizing my dreams and started managing Heaven’s instructions.
Not because I lacked ambition, but because I finally recognized this wasn’t mine to own. It was mine to steward.
I stopped feeding my ego and started feeding people.
My service offers got simplified. My message became clarified. And my impact multiplied, praise God. Because when you stop being the center of your brand, Christ can finally become the foundation of it.
Is your business built on your appetite, or on your assignment?
Because one feeds your feelings and the other feeds nations.
When God becomes your appetite, your business becomes your ministry.
And ministries don’t collapse, they multiply.
Thank you for listening and reading. God bless you.
