Hi Faith Family,
Welcome back…..Today I want us to discuss about “Decision Making”
I’ve made a lot of business decisions, some great, some terrible, and some that still make me shake my head.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: Human logic alone is not enough to make wise decisions.
The world teaches us that strategy, research, and experience are the keys to good decision-making. And while these are valuable, they are not the highest form of wisdom.
Divine wisdom always outperforms human logic.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV)
In business, you’ll face difficult decisions:
Should you expand or stay small?
Should you take an investment or bootstrap?
Should you hire someone or let them go?
Should you launch a product now or wait?
These are not just business strategy questions, they are spiritual questions that require God’s wisdom.
Wisdom Is the Greatest Business Asset
When Solomon became king, God appeared to him in a dream and gave him one wish:
“Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” (1 Kings 3:5, NIV)
Solomon didn’t ask for money.
He didn’t ask for power.
He didn’t ask for a long life.
He asked for wisdom.
“So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong.” (1 Kings 3:9, NIV)
And because Solomon valued wisdom above everything else, God gave him not only wisdom but also wealth, honor, and success beyond measure.
That’s the Kingdom's secret: Wisdom attracts everything else.
If you have wisdom, money will follow.
If you have wisdom, opportunities will come.
If you have wisdom, you will make decisions that multiply your business rather than destroy it.
How to Access Divine Wisdom in Business
1. Seek God First Through Prayer & Fasting
Before making any big decision, pray.
If the decision is major, fast.
God will not withhold wisdom from those who seek it (James 1:5).
2. Don’t Rely Solely on Human Logic
Strategy is good, but don’t ignore the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
What looks good on paper may not be God’s best for you.
Always ask: “Lord, is this Your will?”
3. Surround Yourself with Wise Counsel
Solomon had advisors. So should you.
Get mentors, Godly business leaders, and wise counsel to guide you.
Avoid listening to people who are led by fear rather than faith.
The Difference Between a Good Idea and a God Idea
Not every opportunity is a God-ordained one.
Some business deals look perfect but are traps.
Some partnerships seem beneficial but are distractions.
Wisdom discerns the difference between a good idea and a God idea.
Before making your next big business move, ask yourself:
Did I seek God about this?
Does this align with my Kingdom purpose?
Am I acting out of fear, greed, or impatience?
The Reward of Kingdom Wisdom
“For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold.” (Proverbs 3:14, NLT)
Wisdom will save you from bad business deals.
Wisdom will multiply what’s in your hands.
Wisdom will protect your legacy.
If you want to succeed in business, stop chasing money. Chase wisdom.
Because when you have wisdom, everything else follows.
Thank you for reading and God bless you.
Bye for now…
